For seasoning, you have to make a mixture of both, add two tablespoons of baking powder and half a cup of vinegar in one cup of water. You can either use apple cider or white vinegar. 

Put your nonstick pan on the stove and turn its temperature to medium heat flame. Pour the mixture into the pan and stir it and boil the mixture for 10 minutes. Turn off the stove and let the boiling mixture cool down at normal room temperature.

When the solution gets cold you have to throw it into the sink and wash the pan with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Keep the pan in a cool and dry place and re-season it with any cooking oil, specifically vegetable oil.

5. Use Peanut Oil for Seasoning 

     You can also use peanut oil to season your nonstick after cleaning it with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Fill the pores of the pan with peanut oil and heat it for 60 to 120 seconds. Wipe the surface of the pan with a soft sponge and repeat this process after every six months.

6. Seasoning with canola oil

Canola oil is also used for seasoning nonstick pans. For the seasoning process, you have to grease your nonstick pan with canola oil and then heat it to a medium-low temperature for a few minutes. After heating the oil, let it cool down at normal room temperature. Avoid putting the pan in the refrigerator to speed up the process, as it will affect the nonstick coating of the pan. 

Wipe the excess oil layer with a dry towel or soft towel and then store the nonstick pan in a cool and dry place. This process will repair the nonstick coating of your pan and also fix pan sticking.

7. Bake The Pan

Baking is another technique that is used to fix non-stick pan coating. You need to preheat a nonstick pan at 500 degrees for 10 minutes. After that bake the pan by placing it on the middle rack of the oven, and let it bake for 40 minutes at a low temperature such as 300F. When the baking process is done, let the pane cool down at room temperature. In this way, this process helps restore the nonstick surface of the pane.

 Avoid seasoning the pan at high temperatures such as 500F as it will damage the nonstick coating. Also, while seasoning the pan in the oven, avoid using butter or olive oil because they have a low smoke level. You can use peanut oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, or grapeseed oil as they have a high smoke level.
